Microsoft's Gustav

Gone are the days when we used 128MB of RAM, 2 GB of HDD and 14" CRT monitors and boasted to our friends that we have a High End System. Thanks to Microsoft they somehow or the other kept us updating the hardware with its every release of Operating Systems ( From Win 95 till Win 7). Microsoft with its every release of OS gave huge importance to User Interface(they even named an OS after that user e'XP'erience), they kept improving it so much, that even performance of the system was given the second priority. Microsoft also kept updating the user Interface of the utilities provided along with the OS like the Microsoft Office 95 to 2003 to 2007, Microsoft Internet Explorer etc. The only stagnant program with microsoft has been its much loved program "The Microsoft Paint" which never received any attention from the developers however In 2010 techfest they announced and showed a prototype of a Project named “Gustav” a realistic painting-system prototype.

Project Gustav aims at providing hobbyists and professionals a new way to create digital art, by taking advantage of today’s multitouch hardware and high end processers.
