The Indian Premier League 2010 the cricket extravaganza, the greatest cricketing tournament is all set to rock the cricketing fans from next week. Though it is one of the Cricket’s most spectacular events, it has received strong criticism right from its launch. Most of its ideas have been ripped off from other sporting major sporting events from other countries the strategic time outs, franchisees, Player auction and home away matches etc. With more and more money into the Cricketing event, it has become such that it is cricket match in between commercials and not the vice versa these days. We keep seeing the Promos and the Ads of IPL every now and then. Some Promos and Ads have been very creative that we get highly impressed. However at a later point we come to know that it has been a rip off of another promo of another sporting event from another country it leaves a bad taste with us and gives us a sense of irritation whenever we see the promo next time. The promo of IPL 2008 “The cricket ka karmayudh” was a huge hit when it was launched. However after few days we came to know that it’s a Rip off of the Promo of an American baseball team (The Yankees). Watch this video.
