India - better known for its diverse culture and religion, is also best known for its one religion that unites the country like nothing else does and one god almost everyone in the nation worships. Yes in India, Cricket is the religion and Sachin is the God!!!

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, born on April 24 1973 is celebrating his 37th birthday today. On his birthday, the whole nation salutes the little master for all the success he has brought home.

Sachin made his first Test Cricket Debut when he was 16 years old and from then on there was no going back. What a journey it has been, completing 20 years in cricketing world... from where he was to where he is now... Sachin is truly the Master Blaster!!!

Who would have thought, that this boy from Bandra would make the nation go crazy whenever he starts the fireworks with his bat and that one day he would become the God of Cricket.

It's been said that only God can make miracles happen and yeah, Sachin is no exception to that!!! He made one in Gwalior on 24th Feb 2010 while batting against South Africa, by becoming the first man on the planet to score a double century in the One Day International Cricket.

Those last few moments, when Sachin was about to make wonders, the whole nation came united and was praying for one cause. From farmers to multi billionaires, from gully cricketers to great cricketing legends... everyone was hoping for that one thing to happen... and Sachin made that happen. He created a new world record by scoring a double century.

Sustaining for the full 50 overs and earning those full 200 runs all by himself even at the age of 36 ,who could question his fitness and his love and passion for Cricket??

Sachin always loved playing for his country and he proved that once again when he dedicated his world record to the people of his country and making the nation proud.

Anil Kumble, former Test Cricket Captain of India put that in best of his words "I thought the way he celebrated when he reached his 200 epitomised the man's persona. There was no running laps around the field, no aggressive gestures,nothing over-the-top. He did what he always does, raised both his arms, closed his eyes for a moment and quietly acknowledged that it had been done"


Being the successful batsman in cricketing world, Sachin knows what is best for him and his team. Way back in 2007, when Rahul Dravid decided to step down as captain of Indian team, the selectors were planning to give it to Sachin. But it was Sachin who recommended MS Dhoni for captaincy, who was performing extremely well and was in good form at that time. Thanks to Sachin, else India would have lost its Captain Cool.

Success is nothing new for Sachin. He holds all world records under his name. So, what else is left for this man who has seen success in almost all form of his career. Well, there is this ICC World Cup that is coming in about a period of 8-9 months and the whole country is hoping that their God would make miracles happen once again and bring home the trophy, which has been a dream since 1983.

The much anticipated movie of the year, Mani Ratnam's Raavan is finalized for May 21. The audio of the movie will be releasing on April 24th. The cast and crew includes all big names director & producer mani ratinam, Music by ARR, Abhishek Bachan, Aishwarya Rai Bachan, Vikram, Prithiviraj, Bipasha Basu, Lyricist Gulzar and so on. Raavan is a present day version of the Indian epic Ramayana which depics the same old story of Rama whose wife Sita is kidnapped by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka.

Google has launched a new android mobile application which translates animal sounds into text. According to Google this is how the application works



The mobile application records the sounds of animals and sends it to a centralized server where google runs a matching algorithm against the millions of stored noises in the animal linguistic database and returns the matching text to the user. Wow !!! Sounds Cool !!! Look at this video
